Rosemary Joiner Hood, 80, went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 23, 2017 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. She was born August 2, 1936 in Birmingham, AL; she was the daughter of the late William Joiner and the late Elizabeth Beathea Joiner. She was a member of College Hill Baptist Church. Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 12:00pm-2:30pm at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City.
Funeral services honoring Rosemary’s life will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 2:30pm at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Dewayne Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Montevista Cemetery in Webster County, MS.
Pallbearers will be David Capps, Cody Morris, Neal Gann, Darrell Jefferson, Jeremy Parker, and Timothy Dobbins.
She is survived by a son, Gerald Wayne Hood, Vardaman, MS; daughter, Susan Marie Franks, Houston, MS; sister, Charlotte Pharr, Birmingham, AL; 7 grandchildren; Amber Sullivan, Anna Hood, Heather (David) Capps, Tyler (Randa) Hood, Beth Williams, Stevie Stafford, and Michelle (Cody) Morris. 11 great-grandchildren; Cody, Doug, and Mason Williams; Harliegh, Lilly, and Colton Morris; Jason and Cameron Stafford; Kerra, Karen, and Corrine Means.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Gene Hood, her parents, and two sons, Michael Gene Hood and Rickey Lee Hood.
