Loretta Lee Ferguson Bingham, 86, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at UMMC in Jackson, MS. She was born October 9, 1930 in Grenada County, MS; she was the daughter of the late James Dee Ferguson and the late Emmie Dusky Davis, and grew up in Money, MS. Mrs. Loretta was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a member of Bradford Chapel Baptist Church. She was also an avid gardener who was very nurturing, and loved to watch things grow. This past November she celebrated 68 years of marriage to her wonderful husband, Robert Kent Bingham. Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church in Calhoun City.
Funeral services honoring her life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00pm at the church with Bro. Jon Haimes and Bro. Owen Hitchcock officiating. Burial will follow at Bradford Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Kent Bingham, Slate Springs; a son, George Kent (Julia) Bingham, Slate Springs; four daughters, Freda (Donald) Bryant, Gore Springs; Vickie (Keith) Menzie, Port St. Lucie, FL; Bobbie (Toxie) Russell, Bentley, MS, and Emmie (Seth) Davis, Calhoun City; one sister, Eva Clanton, Holcomb, MS; 11 grandchildren, Timothy Bryant, David Bryant, Joel (Carli) Bryant, John Bingham, Jacob (Kayla) Bingham, Nathaniel (Charlsie) Lucius, Caleb (Ashley) Lucius, Jerry Russell, Matthew Hood, Andrew Hood, and Emilee Davis, and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Velma Baker and two brothers, Avon and Troy Ferguson.
