Lyla Fuggett Mitchell, 90, went to her heavenly home on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Bruce Living Center in Bruce, MS. She was born March 13, 1926 in Calhoun County, MS; she was the daughter of the late Walter Fuggett and the late Winnie Vaughn Fuggett. She was a retired sewing machine operator at Kellwood and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Pryor Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Spratlin officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home, with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Calhoun City.
Pallbearers will be David Keeton, Johnny Cardwell, Bubba Guest, Keith Spratlin, David Clark and Sam Tutor.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Tutor of Bruce; two brothers, Wayne Fuggett of Vardaman and Edwin Fuggett of New Jersey; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John E. Mitchell; daughter, Faye Spratlin; five sisters and one brother.
