After graduating from high school, she then attended The University of Mississippi for two years studying Banking & Finance with her husband, then moving to Memphis for him to finish his last four years at the University of Tennessee Dental School. She worked beside him for 50 years before they both retired at the ages of 73 and 75. Mimi was very much loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
