Calhoun City---Charles Michael Hill, 63, passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Born July 28, 1954, in Calhoun County, he was the son of Betty Jo Hill and the late Charles Henry Hill. He was a member of Duncan Hill Baptist Church. Mike graduated from Vardaman High School in 1972, and worked for many years as a Braizer at Heatcraft in Grenada. He also served his country in the United States Air Force. Among his many hobbies were fishing and gardening. He loved his family and especially loved his grandchildren and taking care of his mother, Ms. Betty Jo. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but they find comfort in knowing they will be reunited in Heaven one day.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Bro. Daniel Thompson and Bro. Bobby Douglas will be officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Hill Cemetery in Derma.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Woods, Spencer Hill, Johnny Kakalas, Kenny Woods, Brad Woods, and Noah Hill.
He leaves behind his mother, Betty Jo Hill of Calhoun City; a son, Richie (Jenny) Hill of Calhoun City; two daughters, Amanda Hill and Amber Hill both of Flowood, MS; two brothers, Jamie (Charlotte) Hill of Vardaman, and David (Amye) Hill of Calhoun City; sister, Pam (Kenny) Woods of Hernando; and two grandchildren, Baylen Hill and Kayleigh Hill
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Duncan Hill Cemetery Fund.
