Shirley Ann Stokes Morris, 75, passed away peacefully at North Delta Hospice in Southaven on Monday, April 16, 2018. Born September 26, 1942 in Greenwood, MS, she was the daughter of the late Argolus Stokes and the late Jeanette Fesmire Stokes. Ms. Shirley was of Pentecostal faith, and was retired from Franklin Corp. in Houston. In her free time she loved to work in her garden.
One her greatest loves was to read and study her Bible. Her faith was her rock, and she is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A very kind and soft spoken woman, her memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 12:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Jimmy Vance will be officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Springs Cemetery in Derma.
She leaves behind her son, Steve Morris of Southaven, MS; and five grandchildren, Nick Morris of Bruce, Anna Blaklee Morris of Bruce, Ashley Griffin of Tupelo, Chris Morris, and Dusty Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earnest Morris, a son, Donnie Morris, and a sister, Linda Clark.
