Obituary for Martha Marie Wade

Martha Marie Wade
Martha Marie Wade, 84, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Born December 24, 1933, in Calhoun City, she was the daughter of the late Early B. Hardin and the late Vernie Vanlandingham Hardin. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church, and was retired from nursing. Marie graduated from Calhoun City High School in 1953. On February 13, 1954 she married the love of her life, Thomas H. Wade. Sr. and they were married for almost 63 years before his passing on January 28, 2017. Those who knew Marie will remember her for her love and devotion to her family. She cherished the time spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids, and also her dog, Shadow, whom she considered part of the family as well. Among her many hobbies were sewing, gardening, and decorating cakes. And oh how she loved her chickens! Marie is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her family is comforted by knowing she has been reunited with her beloved husband, Thomas. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will be cherished in their hearts forever.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Bro. Michael Blaylock, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN, will be officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Calhoun City.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Tutor, Ben Reese, Andrew Reese, Warren Johnson, Wayne McCoy, and Thomas Wade, Jr. Thomas Wade, III will serve as honorary pallbearer.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Barbara Wade Tutor and her husband Richard of Calhoun City, and Brenda Wade Gaston of Chattanooga, TN; a son, Thomas Howell Wade, Jr. and his wife Donna of Hollandale, MS; three brothers, John (Reva Joyce) Hardin of Vardaman, Wayne Hardin of Calhoun City, and James (Carol) Hardin of Bruce; a sister, Elizabeth Hardin (Mike) Mitchell of Vardaman; five grandchildren, Ben (Anna Jayne) Reese, Memphis, Andrew (Elizabeth) Reese, Memphis, Thomas H.
