Obituary for Micheal Nichols

Micheal Nichols
Micheal Wayne Nichols, 51, passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, TN on Friday, January 12, 2018.
Born July 19, 1966, he was the son of Thomas Wayne Nichols of Vardaman, and Linda Phillips Wilson of Big Creek. Micheal was a graduate of Vardaman High School with the great Class of 1984. He lettered in all three sports, but especially loved the football team. He was a relentless competitor, and always gave 100%. Micheal had the keen ability to listen and learn. His family often wondered how he was a straight ‘A’ student, but never brought a book home from school. Micheal spent time seeing the country while driving a truck, but farming was instilled in his soul by his father Thomas Wayne. He dearly loved his family, and did whatever he could to always protect them. He especially loved his dog and best pal, Taco. Micheal never met a stranger, and he had a good heart and enjoyed making people laugh. Micheal leaves behind many memories, almost all of them with his bright smile shining through. He had a great spirit and he will be deeply missed by his friends and loved ones, but his memory will be cherished forever in their hearts.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018, at 3:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Truman Scarbrough will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Lee McGregor, Gene Alexander, Carl Ray Mooneyham, Darrin Vance, Tony Black, and Barry Lester. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Lishman, Jerry Holder, David Duncan, Walker Nichols, and Triston Nichols. Also serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be the Vardaman High School Class of 1984.
He leaves behind his mother, Linda Phillips Wilson of Big Creek; his father, Thomas Wayne Nichols of Vardaman; grandmother, Carrie Nichols of Vardaman; a sister, Patty Nichols Kerr and her husband Steve of Pensacola, FL; three brothers, Johnny Nichols of Vardaman, Alvis Todd Nichols of Nashville, TN, and Robert Lishman and his wife Diana of Vardaman; and special friend, Deanna Gray of Bentley, MS.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Earl Nichols; grandfather, Alvis Phillips; and grandmother Loretta Schmitz.
