Virginia Howard Vanlandingham
Virginia Howard Vanlandingham, 95, passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City on Monday, November 6, 2017. Born November 5, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Henry Grady Howard and the late Nora Ethel Aycock. She graduated from Derma High School in 1940, and married Eltis Vanlandingham in 1945. They were married for 42 years until his death in 1988. She was a member of Derma Baptist Church. A very Godly woman, she often taught Bible School, and loved teaching the children about the Lord. Ms. Virginia was a homemaker, and spent time working on the family farm and in the family store. She had a love for sewing and still sewed and actually modeled her dresses up until a few years ago. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and always put her love for others ahead of herself. A very gracious and giving woman, her memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
