Dorothy Jean Hollingsworth Bryant, 87, passed away peacefully at Baptist Nursing Home in Calhoun City on Saturday, July 29, 2017. Born September 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clay Hollingsworth and the late Myrt Pumphrey Hollingsworth. She was a retired seamstress from Kellwood, and a member of Bradford Chapel Baptist Church. A very kind and loving woman, her memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 2:00pm at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Jon Haimes officiating and Bro. Owen Hitchcock delivering the eulogy. There will also be a visitation from 1:00pm until service time on Tuesday.
She leaves behind her daughter, Ruth (Kenneth) Pryor of Calhoun City, MS; her son, Donald (Freda) Bryant of Gore Springs, MS; six grandchildren, Timothy Bryant and David Bryant, both of Gore Springs, MS, Joel (Carli) Bryant of Katy, TX, Melanie (Frankie) Gulledge of Madison, MS, Mindy (Brent) Dixon of Caderetta, MS, and Misty (Austin) Ledbetter of Bruce, MS. Ms. Dorothy was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Bryant, Austin Ledbetter, Brent Dixon, Jimmy Blaylock, James Ray Bumgart, and Richard Easley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Edward Bryant, her parents, Robert and Myrt Hollingsworth; a sister, Corrine Moore; and four brothers, R.C. Hollingsworth, Jr, Howard Hollingsworth, Willie Hollingsworth, and Glen Hollingsworth.
