Joseph Wayne Bryant, 82, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 10, 2017. Born August 8, 1934, in Derma, MS, he was the son of the late Everette Hill Bryant and the late Bessie Ward Bryant. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Bruce, as well as a Mason and Shriner. He was a retired truck driver for Camel 66, and proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. A very kind and gentle man, Wayne will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service honoring his life will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home with Father Tim Murphy officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until service time on Thursday.
He leaves behind his wife, Jean Masters Bryant of Calhoun City; a son, Don (Theresa) Knight of Saltillo, MS; three daughters, Debbie (Lynn) Samples, Hernando, MS, Ann (Jimmy) Appleton, Calhoun City, and Elizabeth Bryant Howe of Calhoun City; a sister, Cozette Hamilton of Duck Hill, MS; seven grandchildren, Carmella Knight, Allan Samples, Valerie Appleton, Matthew Knight, Joseph Murphy, Michael Knight, and Emily Murphy, and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Steven Wayne Bryant, three brothers and three sisters.
