Margurite Hill Womble
Margurite Womble age 85 passed away on Wednesday, June 21st at Merit Health Systems in Brandon, MS.
Doodle, as she was fondly called, left this world peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior
after battling dementia for many years at The Brandon Nursing and Rehab Center in Brandon, MS.
Doodle graduated from Derma High School and moved to Grenada, MS shortly after graduation
to begin a successful career with Penaco Industries where she served as a supervisor. While living in Grenada,
Doodle was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. She loved her family. Doodle didn’t have children of her own, so she loved and treated her nieces and nephews like her own kids. Doodle loved to fish, and she would often have everyone over for cookouts with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Kathleen Hill of Calhoun City MS, and her sister, Dorothy Howell and brother-in-law Thomas H. Howell
of Brandon, MS. She is survived by one sister, Melba Cannon of Calhoun City, MS and brothers, J.W. Hill
and his wife Gloria of Brandon, MS, Rick Hill and his wife Pauline of Jackson, MS and her cousin Barbara
Goodson and her husband Geraldine of Calhoun City, MS, nephews Jeff Cannon and his wife Ann of Tupelo,
Michael Joe Cannon and his wife Cheryl of Oxford, MS and Jody Hill of Brandon, MS, nieces, Amy Savell
and her husband Larry of Brandon, MS and Lori Barham and her husband Brooks of Madison, MS
and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.
Doodle was a little lady with a big heart and was loved by everyone she met.
Services will be held at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City, MS on Friday, June 23rd 2017
Visitation will be from 10:00 am -11:30 am and service at 11:30am at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Joe Cannon, Jeff Cannon, Luke Cannon, Jody Hill, Larry Savell, and Bayless Morton.
Burial will be at New Providence Cemetery in Derma, MS.
