Billy Frank  Goodwin
Calhoun City, MS—Billy Frank Goodwin, 46, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Born December 21, 1970, he was the son of the late Robert Van Goodwin and Lucille Nichols Melton. Retired from the construction business, Billy loved spending time with his family and friends. He would try and do things for all the kids when he was able. His favorite place to be was on the creek bank fishing with his nephew Jeremy Carter and friends. He loved to roll the windows down and ride and listen to music, or taking the kids fishing and swimming. Watching his son, Erik, and nephew, Jesse, play football was also a favorite of his. A very loving and caring young man, Billy will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A funeral service honoring his life will be held Friday, April 21, 2017, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Officiating will be Bro. David Martin, and Bro. John Warren. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles White, Brady Kirby, Joe Hadden, Jesse Nabors, Eric Hoskins, and Todd Mckee. Honorary pallbearers will be Erik Goodwin and Jeff Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Angie Mechelle Langley Goodwin; a daughter, Kayla Marie Goodwin of Calhoun City; a son, Erik Tyler Goodwin of Calhoun City; a sister, Charlotte Diane (Terry) McKinney; two brothers, Robert Eugene (Jennifer) Goodwin, and Dewayne (Teresa) Carter, both of Calhoun City; two grandchildren, Rhylan Jamal Goodwin and Jaden Demarion McKinney; Special sister friend Joy Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Van Goodwin; grandparents, Alford Clyde and Mildred Earlene Nichols, and Elmer Gladys and Etta Marie Goodwin.
There will be a benefit for Billy at a later date to help with funeral expenses.
